This is a story of darkest woe. In ancient Japan there lived a vicious husband called Shitai who by his actions, turned his wife into a ghost. His unfortunate wife’s name was O’lwa and he murdered her because he desired another woman. His wife had barely risen from child birth when her deceitful husband Shitai poisoned which caused her hair to fall out in bloody handfuls, her eyes to bulge from their sockets and her pretty mouth to blacken. With certain death overcoming her she realized to her utter horror that her husband had poisoned her. In her despair, she killed her newborn and herself.
Shitai felt no remorse, for now he could do as he wished, or so he thought. He soon found that his dirty deed had … Read entire article »

Most researchers agree that the most accurate version of the story concerns a young girl who was killed while hitchhiking down Archer Avenue in the early 1930’s. Apparently, she had spent the evening dancing with a boyfriend at the O Henry Ballroom. At some point, they got into an argument and Mary (as she has come to be called) stormed out of the place. Even though it was a cold winter’s night, she thought, she would rather face a cold walk home than another minute with her boorish lover.
She left the ballroom and started walking up Archer Avenue. She had not gotten very far when she was struck and killed by a passing automobile. The driver fled the scene and Mary was left there to die.

HELLO? ANYBODY THERE?
Annalisa bought a new address book. As she was writing the names from the old book, she noticed her friends name. Linda had died several months ago. She felt silly transferring the name to the new book, but she felt a little strange to just ignore it. She knew she was being a bit morbid, but something was telling her to dial that number. Maybe to know and hear that it didn’t belong to her friend anymore might bring some closure to her. She was having trouble dealing with the grief that was with her almost daily.
Much to her shock, LINDA ANSWERED. Taken aback, she stuttered the beginning of a conversation. In no time, they were talking like the old friends they were. The last several … Read entire article »

At around 10 pm one stormy night, the last bus form Nottingham to Mansfield stopped outside Newstead Abbey, a widely known haunted place in the UK. It was raining heavily and the driver almost missed the man who was waiting at the stop as this was the first time in many years a person had been picked up at this stage of the route. The man got on the bus and walked up to the top deck without saying a word.
The driver woke the conductor who had fallen asleep to go serve the man with a ticket. The groggy man noticed the bad weather outside and a lack of wet foot prints on the bus floor he asked the driver if he was joking. After a short disagreement … Read entire article »

I feel this has to be an urban legend or calculated story to turn hearts for sympathy…
In 2007, a nurse goes into the basement of a hospital and discovers a baby in a sink. She saves the baby and gets fired. Supposedly the hospital policy was any unwanted babies that were born were placed in the basement sink until they died. The nurse is brought up on charges and she, in turn, tries to go … Read entire article »

In Brazoria, TX two slaves were unjustly hung by the neck from the limb of an old sturdy tree until they died. The ghosts of the slaves have haunted that area ever since.
In the past, drivers of horse pulled wagons they said that their horses would just stop below the tree. A man who didn’t believe the tales coaxed his horse under the tree and the animal stopped in its tracks. He had to force his horse to leave the spot.
Now they say that a car driven under the branches of that old tree will stall every time.
There is a church not to far from the tree and one night a woman was walking home from the church when she heard a noise. She turned and … Read entire article »

In Cape Girardeau, Missouri, there is a mysterious graveyard where college students in the late 70′s used to go there to drink and fool around. Late one October night while I was a student, a group friends convinced me to go to the graveyard to "see the eyes". I was scared to death, but with a couple of beers and a lot of coercing, I went along.
As we neared the area where the eyes … Read entire article »
