Wasp Spray

A friend who is a receptionist in a church in a high risk area was concerned about someone coming into the office on Mondayto rob them when they were counting the collection.  She asked the local police department about using pepper spray and they recommended to her that she get a can of wasp spray instead.

The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is a lot more accurate, while with the pepper spray, they have to get too close to you and could overpower you.  The wasp spray temporarily blinds an attacker until they get to the hospital for an antidote. She keeps a can on her desk in the office and it doesn’t attract attention from people like a can of pepper spray would. She also keeps one nearby at home for home protection… Thought this was interesting and might be of use..

Wasp And Hornet Spray

On the heels of a break in and beating that left an elderly woman in Toledo dead, self defense experts have a tip that could save your life.

Val Glinka teaches self-defense to students at  Sylvania Southview High School .  For decades, he’s suggested putting a can of wasp and hornet spray near your door or bed.

Glinka says, "This is better than anything I can teach them."

Glinka considers it inexpensive, easy to find, and more effective than mace or pepper spray.  The cans typically shoot 20 to 30 feet; so if someone tries to break into your home, Glinka says, "spray the culprit in the eyes".  It’s a tip he’s given to students for decades. It’s also one he wants everyone to hear. If you’re looking for protection, Glinka says look to the spray.

"That’s going to give you a chance to call the police; maybe get out."

This is on an ‘illegal super – highway’ from Mexico to the USA (Tucson, AZ) used by human smugglers.
This area is located in a wash, approximately 1.5 miles long, just south of Tucson, Arizona.
If a flood came, all this would be washed to the river and then to the sea!

It is estimated over 5,000 discarded backpacks are in this wash along with countless water containers, food wrappers, clothing, and feces, including thousands of soiled baby diapers.
As you can see in this picture, fresh footprints are leading right into it.

As we kept walking down the wash, we thought for sure it was going to end, but around every corner was more and more trash!  

The trail leading out of the wash in our city, heads directly NORTH to Tucson, AZ then leads to your town tomorrow.

They’ve already come through here. Isn’t Arizona just beautiful, America? Why would you boycott us? Our desert has basically been turned into a landfill.

The trash left behind by people illegally crossing our border is another Environmental Disaster to hit the USA.

If these actions had been done in one of our Northwest Forests or Seashore National Parks areas, there would be an uprising of the American people, but this is the Arizona-Mexican border.

You won’t see these pictures on CNN, ABC, NBC or the Arizona Republic newspaper. They will not mention the disease that comes from the uncovered human waste left in our desert. However, with respect to CNN, ABC & NBC, they do offer us "Special Reports" on cheating celebrity spouses.

This information needs to be seen by the rest of the country before it’s too late!

Another patrol car stopped a truck some miles down the highway and were struck with the following image.

The truck driver said he thought he felt the impact, but it took him almost 4 miles down the road before he thought he’d better pull over and check out his rig.

Notice the driver has no shoes on from the impact or from being drug all that distance. Ouch!

There is a new drug called, Progesterex, that is a sterilization pill.

The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape AND sterilize their victims. My best friend’s mom works at a pharmacy and she said the drug is available exclusively to veterinarians to sterilize large animals.

I have heard from several of my friends that are still in grad school up north that at frat parties at their schools (Columbia and Penn State) the drug is being used with Rohypnol (roofies), the date rape drug. With Rohypnol, all they have to do is drop it into their drink. The girl can’t remember a thing the next morning of what happened the night before. Well now Rohypnol is not being used alone. Progesterex, which dissolves in drinks (alcohol or soda) just as easily, is being used with it so that the woman doesn’t conceive from the rape and the rapist doesn’t have to worry about having a paternity test identifying him months later.

The drug’s affects AREN’T TEMPORARY. Progesterex was designed to sterilize horses. Any woman that takes it WILL NOT HAVE CHILDREN EVER IN HER LIFE. All guys have to do to get this drug is just know someone, like a friend, who is in the Vet school of any university. It’s that easy, and Progesterex is about to break out big on campuses everywhere. Believe it or not, there is even a site on the internet for the drug telling people how to use it.

In 2003, police in Warwickshire, England, opened a garden shed and found a whimpering, cowering dog.  The dog had been locked in the shed and abandoned.  It was dirty and malnourished, and had quite clearly been abused In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a female greyhound, to the Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, which is run by a man named Geoff Grewcock, and known as a haven for animals abandoned, orphaned, or otherwise in need Geoff and the other sanctuary staff went to work with two aims: to restore the dog to full health, and to win her trust.

It took several weeks, but eventually both goals were achieved..  They named her Jasmine, and they started to think about finding her an adoptive home. Jasmine, however, had other ideas. No one quite remembers how it came about, but Jasmine started welcoming all animal arrivals at the sanctuary. It would not matter if it were a puppy, a fox cub, a rabbit or, any other lost or hurting animal. Jasmine would just peer into the box or cage and, when and where possible, deliver a welcoming lick.

Geoff relates one of the early incidents. We had two puppies that had been abandoned by a nearby railway line. One was a Lakeland Terrier cross and another was a Jack Russell Doberman cross. They were tiny when they arrived at the centre, and Jasmine approached them and grabbed one by the scruff of the neck in her mouth and put him on the settee. Then she fetched the other one and sat down with them, cuddling them. But she is like that with all of our animals, even the rabbits.  She takes all the stress out of them, and it helps them to not only feel close to her, but to settle into their new surroundings.  She has done the same with the fox and badger cubs, she licks the rabbits and guinea pigs, and even lets the birds perch on the bridge of her nose.

Jasmine, the timid, abused, deserted waif, became the animal sanctuary’s resident surrogate mother, a role for which she might have been born.  The list of orphaned and abandoned youngsters she has cared for comprises five fox cubs, four badger cubs, fifteen chicks, eight guinea pigs, two stray puppies and fifteen rabbits – and one roe deer fawn.  Tiny Bramble, eleven weeks old, was found semi-conscious in a field.  Upon arrival at the sanctuary, Jasmine cuddled up to her to keep her warm, and then went into the full foster-mum role.  Jasmine the greyhound showers Bramble the roe deer with affection, and makes sure nothing is matted.

They are inseparable," says Geoff. Bramble walks between her legs, and they keep kissing each other.  They walk together round the sanctuary.  It’s a real treat to see them."

Jasmine will continue to care for Bramble until she is old enough to be returned to woodland life.  When that happens, Jasmine will not be lonely. She will be too busy showering love and affection on the next orphan or victim of abuse.
