Medical Records and Concealed Carry Info
I didn’t have this happen, but then I wasn’t at a VA doctors office. I did run into a little of this when I had to visit a doctor other than my regular
doctor when my doctor was on vacation. One of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your house? My answer was None
of your damn business! So it is out there! It is either an insurance issue or government intervention. Either way, it is out there and the second the
government gets into your medical records (As they want to under Obamacare) it will become a major issue and will ultimately result in lock and load!
Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun owners…Thanks
From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer: I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out something very interesting that I would like to pass along. While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions:
1. Did I feel stressed?
2. Did I feel threatened?
3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?
The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered yes to any of the questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security. Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people like retired law enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what argument will they have? Be forewarned and be aware. The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners potential terrorists.
Whether you are a gun owner veteran or not, YOU”VE BEEN WARNED! If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them. Be very cautious about what you say and to whom.

My husband and I had doctor appointment’s together recently. I was asked, while my husband sat there, if I had any guns in my home? I was shocked and responded that the question has nothing to do with my appointment…which was for a tick bite, and further stated that it was no one’s business, especially my doctor…I asked if this was a new insurance intrusion? The nurse said she understood my refsal to answer such a question and “supposedly” typed into my file that I had no guns…but I am not sure this is what was actually written.
I do intend to go to the doctor’s office and make sure there is nothing in my file that would incriminate me in any way…this is way beyond right. I am totally irritated. We live in New Hampshire. Both my husband and I are retired; and he is retired military. The ObamaCare health plan to make all our files available to all military, police and medical people is totally unnecessary and takes the privacy issue to a whole new level…worse corruption and abuse of our rights as individuals. God help us if Obama gets re-elected. Sorry. I voted for him too…deeply disappointed in him and those he is influenced by…his minions.
I can’t believe the number of people on the internet that believes this crap! Folks, before you forward this drivel, do a little research and please quit being sheep; think for yourselves!
Thank you @MoGilb!!!! damn shame.smh
In my own personal experience, I was asked the question of ” do you have any guns in the house” by a new doctor at least 10-12 years ago in the middle of a new patient interview, so if it’s a “big brother” issue…it didn’t just start. It’s also been conjectured that it might be an insurance related question. Whatever the source of the question, I’ve heard the doctors are being paid.
Food for Thought: Never trust a dog to guard your food. Vietnam Vet
Has it occured to the Vet that a ton of Vietnamers tend to have PTSD and may to snap and harm someone. Sorry, buddy, but you’re from the most infamous war as far as mental instability is concerned. You should expect some questions.
