Roadside Dinner in Australia
These pictures were taken by one of the road crew at Cloudbreak Mine, Australia last week.
It took a total of 5 hours for the Black headed Python to finish off the Goanna (Argus Monitor Lizard).
As you can see, they put some signage up so it wouldn’t be run over.
NOW THAT’S A MEAL.
Looks like he is finally FULL!

A True Story. (unverified by http://urbanlegendsonline.com, this statement was part of the original, submitted email)

In 2003, police in Warwickshire, England, opened a garden shed and found a whimpering, cowering dog. The dog had been locked in the shed and abandoned. It was dirty and malnourished, and had quite clearly been abused In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a female greyhound, to the Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, which is run by a man named Geoff Grewcock, and known as a haven for animals abandoned, orphaned, or otherwise in need Geoff and the other sanctuary staff went to work with two aims: to restore the dog to full health, and to win her trust.

It took several weeks, but eventually both goals were achieved.. They named her Jasmine, and they started to think about finding her an adoptive home. Jasmine, however, had other ideas. No one quite remembers how it came about, but Jasmine started welcoming all animal arrivals at the sanctuary. It would not matter if it were a puppy, a fox cub, a rabbit or, any other lost or hurting animal. Jasmine would just peer into the box or cage and, when and where possible, deliver a welcoming lick.

Geoff relates one of the early incidents. We had two puppies that had been abandoned by a nearby railway line. One was a Lakeland Terrier cross and another was a Jack Russell Doberman cross. They were tiny when they arrived at the centre, and Jasmine approached them and grabbed one by the scruff of the neck in her mouth and put him on the settee. Then she fetched the other one and sat down with them, cuddling them. But she is like that with all of our animals, even the rabbits. She takes all the stress out of them, and it helps them to not only feel close to her, but to settle into their new surroundings. She has done the same with the fox and badger cubs, she licks the rabbits and guinea pigs, and even lets the birds perch on the bridge of her nose.

Jasmine, the timid, abused, deserted waif, became the animal sanctuary’s resident surrogate mother, a role for which she might have been born. The list of orphaned and abandoned youngsters she has cared for comprises five fox cubs, four badger cubs, fifteen chicks, eight guinea pigs, two stray puppies and fifteen rabbits – and one roe deer fawn. Tiny Bramble, eleven weeks old, was found semi-conscious in a field. Upon arrival at the sanctuary, Jasmine cuddled up to her to keep her warm, and then went into the full foster-mum role. Jasmine the greyhound showers Bramble the roe deer with affection, and makes sure nothing is matted.

They are inseparable," says Geoff. Bramble walks between her legs, and they keep kissing each other. They walk together round the sanctuary. It’s a real treat to see them."

Jasmine will continue to care for Bramble until she is old enough to be returned to woodland life. When that happens, Jasmine will not be lonely. She will be too busy showering love and affection on the next orphan or victim of abuse.

Pictured below from the left are: "Toby", a stray Lakeland dog; "Bramble", orphaned roe deer; "Buster", a stray Jack Russell; a dumped rabbit; "Sky", an injured barn owl; and "Jasmine", with a mother’s heart doing best what a caring mother would do… and such is the order of God’s Creation.

Once there was a beautiful young girl who lived in a small town just south of Farmersburg. Her parents had to go to town for a while, so they left their daughter home alone, but protected by her dog, which was a very large collie. The parents told the girl to lock all the windows and doors after they had left and she obeyed her parent’s wishes, but there was one window in the basement that would not close completely.
She tried as best as she could and she finally got the window shut, but it would not lock. She went back upstairs, but just to make sure that no one could get in, she put the dead-bolt lock on the basement door.
She had some dinner, watched a show on TV and decided to go to sleep for the night at about 12:00am. She crawled into her bed, ...

She had some dinner, watched a show on TV and decided to go to sleep for the night at about 12:00am. She crawled into her bed, snuggled up with the dog and fell asleep.

At one point, she suddenly woke up and when she turned to look at the clock it was 2:30am. She listened for a moment and when she didn’t hear anything, she snuggled down again wondering what had woken her. Just as she was about to fall back to sleep, she heard a noise. It was a dripping sound. She thought that maybe she hadn’t closed the faucet tight enough after she brushed her teeth, and now it was dripping into the drain of her sink. She decided to ignore the sound and to go back to sleep.

She didn’t know why, but she felt uneasy and a little nervous. She reached her hand over the edge of her bed, and let the dog lick her hand to feel safe knowing he would protect her. Again at about 3:45am she woke up hearing dripping. She was annoyed, but still felt sleepy and lazy and she went back to sleep anyway. Again she reached down and let the dog lick her hand. Then she fell back to sleep.

At 6:52am the girl decided that she had had enough…she got up just as her parents were pulling up to the house. "Good," she thought. "Now somebody can fix the sink…’cause I know I didn’t leave it running." She walked to the bathroom and there was the collie dog, skinned and hung up on the curtain rod. The noise she heard was its blood dripping into a puddle on the floor. The girl screamed and ran to her bedroom to get a weapon, in case someone was still in the house…..and there on the floor, next to her bed she saw a small note, written in blood, saying: HUMANS CAN LICK TOO MY BEAUTIFUL.

Several years ago, “they” say, Mr. Gere was admitted into the emergency room of a Los Angeles hospital with a gerbil lodged in his rectum. Gere was alone when he arrived, some say, or with a partner (e.g., former girlfriend Cindy Crawford) according to others. It took a whole team of surgeons to extract the animal from Gere’s posterior. Some variants say the gerbil was found to have been shaven and declawed; others claim the animal had been placed in a special plastic pouch. And some say the poor creature was Gere’s own beloved pet, aptly named “Tibet.”
In any case, when the surgery was finally done the medical team was sworn to secrecy (unsuccessfully, we must conclude) and Gere went on his merry way, suffering no permanent damage other than to his reputation.

You can imagine the woman’s surprise when she found her daughter feeding off THE FAMILY DOG!

The dog, a rather large Dane cross breed had just recently lost her pup pies when her owners decided it was time to give them away. However, the dog was still lactating and she had known the baby all her life, so she had no problem taking in this new "puppy." They should make a movie about this: "The Paw that Rocks the Cradle."
They have performed tests, surgery and put her on birth control without success. He found out that farmers were injecting rBST (hormones) into cows so that they would produce more milk.

In the town of Wentzeville, MO. it is said that in the early 1800′s a young mother rode her horse into town with her infant son in a sling on her back. She stayed to late in town and it was past dark when she set out to return home.
As she made her way home, the sky clouded over and she could hear distant thunder as a storm approached. The road was very dark without the moonlight and she began to notice rustling noises coming from the darkness all around her. The girl began to look over her shoulder in panic as she became more and more aware of how alone she was. As the chills crawled up her spine, she hoped that the child wouldn’t sense her fear.

Suddenly she heard a scream only a few feet from her horse. She became so frightened that she spurred her horse into a fast run. As the horse fled, all the jarring caused the baby to be thrown from her back. The young woman was so horrified she couldn’t think, she urged the horse faster and faster away from the sound, further and further away from the child.

Later the mother returned, sick with guilt, to search for the fallen baby.
To this day they say if you stop on this lonely stretch of road just before a storm you can hear a loud scream, then the sound of horses hooves, and then a baby crying.

After the civil war Fairfax County, Virginia became more populated and eventually an insane asylum was built there. No one wanted to live near the asylum and because of the public outrage the institution was shut down.

The administration transferred the patients and in 1904 the process was completed. During the transfer, some of the patients escaped and hid in the surrounding woods and forest. These individuals were lost, delusional and dangerous. Most of them were found except Marcus Lawster and Douglas Griffen. The local authorities found a trail they believed belonged to them, littered with half eaten mutilated bunnies.

The trail led deep into the woods to a tunnel bridge crossing a wide creek. There they found Marcus hanging from the tunnel entrance. There was a note attached to his foot that said, “You’ll never find me no matter how hard you try! Signed, The Bunny Man.” That tunnel has been called Bunny Man Bridge ever since.

The legend says that if you walk all the way down the tunnel at around midnight the Bunny Man will grab you and hang you from the entrance of the bridge.

Strange deaths and phenomena has been connected with the Bunny Man Bridge. There was a young man from Clifton, Virginia who came upon the Bridge while traveling. Later, he killed his parents and dragged their bodies into the woods to hang them from the bridge and then killed himself. In 1943, three teenagers, two men and a young woman, were at the bunny man bridge for Halloween night. The three youths were found dead, hung from the bridge with their bodies slashed open. All with notes attached to their feet saying the same thing,” You’ll never catch the Bunny Man!”

In 2001, after hearing the tale, six local students and a guide searched the area. They found mutilated bunny parts during their search and left the forest after they heard noises and saw figures moving around in the woods.
