Welcome to a comprehensive site for creepy and interesting myths, legends and hoaxes. You’ll learn about some of the most popular (and my
favorite) urban legends and you’ll kill some time while you should be working. Welcome slackers one and all!
What is an urban legend? According to Webster, an urban legend is “an often lurid story or anecdote that is based on hearsay and widely circulated as true,” and is sometimes called an urban myth.
As our popularity has grown, we’ve reorganized the site (again!) so the legends are easier to find and easier for us to update. There’s a lot more material now so if you are curious about that last chain email you got, check with us, we’ll tell you it’s crap.
