The Hoboken Monkey Man

My dad loved telling me urban legends about various places in New Jersey. One that I especially liked was the one about the Hoboken Monkey Man.

As legend goes, in the early 1980′s there supposedly was a Monkeylike beast roaming the streets of Hoboken and terrorizing children.

The police department received so many panicked phone calls that they had to set up a task force to catch him. But they couldn’t catch him! On some nights people still say that they see him walking down Washington Street…

…but maybe that’s after they had a hard night of drinking?
