Flip Book
As a kid, I loved making flip books. They were all I did in art class, whenever I had the chance. I worked really hard on one particular flip book that was around 50 pages long, I guess. It had a simple stick figure that would walk onto the page, wave at me, and just simply walk off. I looked at it dozens of times on the day that I made it, but eventually I … Read entire article »
Science Fair Experiment
A freshman at Eagle Rock Junior High won first prize at the Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair on January 26. In his project he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict control or total elimination of the chemical “dihydrogen monoxide.” And for plenty of good reasons, since it can: 1. Cause excessive sweating and vomiting 2. It is a major component in acid rain 3. It can cause severe burns in its gaseous state 4. Accidental inhalation can kill … Read entire article »

Thinking it … Read entire article »

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two … Read entire article »
Choking on Ink
My grandmother told me when she was in high school an old math teacher in his 60′s named Harold Davidson was teaching math and one of his students wouldn’t stop tapping his pen during class. The teacher went berserk and lost his mind. He snatched the pen and attacked the kid, lodging the pen down the child’s throat while his classmates looked on screaming. While struggling, the kid kicked the teacher in the chest with … Read entire article »
Medical Records and Concealed Carry Info
I didn’t have this happen, but then I wasn’t at a VA doctors office. I did run into a little of this when I had to visit a doctor other than my regular doctor when my doctor was on vacation. One of the questions on the form I had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your house? My answer was None of your damn business! So it is out there! It is either … Read entire article »

Trash Baby Con
While out walking in the city one day with some friends, a man heard a baby crying as he passed by an alley. The friends walked down the alley to investigate and found a newborn baby in a dumpster. They rescued the child and headed straight to the hospital with the infant to make sure it was ok. Authorities discovered shortly afterward that the child’s father was a criminal who lured victims into the alley … Read entire article »
